Leadership Transition Announced at Leadership Toledo

Anna Toney, Executive Director, and Danielle Johnson, Development and Alumni Relations Manager, have both accepted exciting new professional opportunities and will be transitioning from their roles within the organization in the coming weeks. The Leadership Toledo Board of Directors is grateful for their dedication, service, and meaningful contributions to advancing the organization’s mission and supporting the community. During her tenure as Executive Director, Anna played an integral role in strengthening Leadership Toledo and expanding its impact across the region.

Key accomplishments include:
- Anna was instrumental in the development and launch of expanding LT programming, including Focus 419
- Due to the growth in programming, Anna was able to expand the staff to a 5- person team to ensure Leadership Toledo was poised to meet community demand
- Under Anna’s leadership fundraising was expanded significantly
- Anna executed a diligent search and move into new office space that was more reflective of the professionalism of the organization.

Danielle has also contributed meaningfully to Leadership Toledo by strengthening alumni engagement and expanding the scope and visibility of Restaurant Week Toledo, helping deepen community connections and support for Leadership Toledo’s work. The Board of Directors is working closely with staff to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition and will take an active and supportive role in maintaining operations and supporting the team during this period.

- Establishing interim leadership and operational support
- Launching a transparent Executive Director search
- Supporting staff and maintaining organizational continuity
- Continuing programs and partnerships
- Keeping stakeholders and the community informed throughout the process

Leadership Toledo remains focused on its mission to Lead, Connect, Grow, and Serve Toledo area leaders. Programs and services will continue as planned, and the organization is committed to maintaining stability and continuity throughout the transition.
