Youth Leadership Toledo Application

Youth Leadership Toledo (YLT) is a leadership development program offered to approximately 60 high school sophomores representing schools throughout the Toledo region.

The goals of YLT are for participants to:

          LEAD – Become a more confident leader.

          CONNECT – Become more connected to their community.

          GROW – Grow stronger in self-awareness.

          SERVE – Find meaningful service through group projects.

Participants graduate from YLT as more effective and engaged leaders and with a stronger interest in making a positive impact on their schools and communities.

What is the commitment?

Program session days are held once monthly throughout school days. Attendance is required at each session unless there is an emergency.

Communicate with classmates, teachers, parents, Leadership Toledo staff, and volunteers.

Complete a community impact project with a small group outside of session days

All program materials and expenses (including meals) will be paid for by Leadership Toledo, except for a $100 registration fee. This fee will be billed after students are selected. Scholarships are available for this fee. We never want cost to be a reason someone does not participate in YLT!

The deadline to apply is April 15, 2024

A selection committee will review all applications and notify students, regardless of acceptance status, by mid-May.
